Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Line Cook to join our team. The Line Cook will play a key role in preparing and cooking menu items, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during service. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, small-kitchen environment that requires teamwork, consistency, and pride in the food you serve.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.

Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of food products to maintain freshness and safety.

Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.

Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries, verifying quality and quantity.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, following sanitation and food safety guidelines.

Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently; report maintenance needs promptly.

Coordinate prep and cooking to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to the supervisor.

Follow portion control guidelines to minimize waste and manage food costs.

Adhere to plating and presentation standards for visually appealing dishes.

Assist with training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and kitchen procedures.

Address customer inquiries or special requests in coordination with the front-of-house team.

Monitor food temperature and quality to ensure consistency.

Assist in end-of-day cleaning and closing procedures.

Support other back-of-house duties as assigned to ensure overall success of the business.

Qualifications

Previous line cook or food service experience preferred but not required—we’re willing to train the right person.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures consistently.

Reliable, punctual, and able to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Team player with strong communication skills.

Must be available evenings Tuesday through Saturday until 9 PM.

Ability to lift 30+ lbs and stand for extended periods.

Spanish language fluency is a plus.
